Mackinac Island Pizza Company brings the bold flavors of Motown to the island, celebrating the iconic Detroit-style pizza. Inspired by Gus Guerra, the pioneer of this beloved style, the pizzeria serves up classic pan pizzas made with house-proofed Sicilian dough, topped with a generous layer of cheese, tomato sauce, and a variety of delicious toppings.

Baked fresh daily in traditional deep-dish square pans, originally crafted in Detroit in the 1940s, each pizza delivers a crispy, light crust with the signature caramelized cheese edges that define Detroit-style pizza. These unique pans, deeply rooted in Michigan’s industrial heritage, are essential for creating that perfectly golden crunch.

While Mackinac Island is famous for being car-free, it’s also home to a slice of Detroit history, offering both locals and visitors the unforgettable taste of the Motor City, right here on the island.
